Look, it's bad if a team doesn't have a guy who can kick PAT and a PAT length FG. But it's worse if the coach doesn't even let one of them try when that's the obviously right call.

No way. We are 4-7. You don’t play for a tie at this point and the OT crapshoot. Going for 2 you are playing to win, because then a FG wins the game instead of tying it
 
Not kicking the extra point might be the most dumb fuck decision I have ever seen in my life. Like what fucking idiot that can’t count to 3 made that decision?
 
So what, we kick the PAT, tie it there? We just lose anyway since our defense can't stop anything.

Much prefer we try to get the 2 and a TD to make them drive it the length of the field. It didn't work out, shit happens. Playing for a tie with a bunch of time on the clock isn't some guaranteed path to winning.
 
i think the only reasoning is a successful 2 point conversion means a FG wins it and no OT. Bad decision though.

The same one that didn't take 3 points late in the UNC game last season.
 
I can’t remember what year it was, but someone on here said that if they had the playbook in short yardage situations or with the game on the line, that we would have a significantly better record. I’m now in that camp. Clawson routinely makes gutless calls at the wrong time and ballsy calls at the wrong time. Just can’t seem to get it right.

Clawson still would have gone for it on 4th down 2 though.
 
Just me but I’d rather lose going balls to the wall than being timid and safe
 
4-7 team had first and goal to potentially to win the game.

And we were SUPER aggressive there hahahaa. Fucking joke. 2023 is over thank goodness!
 
Glad it’s over. That was one of the worst seasons I can remember given the expectations.
 
Someone please ask Dave postgame…what the hell was he thinking playing Griffis over Kern? If he says he was better in practice, follow up with such poor play in games starting with Elon why did Kern not get a game look sooner? Put some pressure on him…that decision screwed the team, the fans and the season. Very hard to understand
