2023 College Football Coaching Carousel

The article was predicting they will. Alum forking over $2 million and not close to a playoff birth.

I think Hartman did well. ND just didn't have elite receivers or fast, athletic OL.
ND did exactly what we did this year. They stuck to their same old offense instead of altering it for their personnel.

People aren't dying to hire a coach who is 6-5 with a losing conference record.
Likely 7-5 Duke going to a bowl with 7 major injuries, 2 being QBs 1 & 2. That's impressive. He may not go this year but I wouldn't be surprised if he's offered.

Dude who's 35-55 in the SEC and has never won more than 5 SEC games in a season. Sign me up!

Seeing rumors of Mark Stoops to TAMU

Saw rumors of Urban Meyer earlier in the week. Has Urban's reputation been so trashed (most of his own doing) that he's no longer viable at most schools?

Some TAMU insiders posting that the Stoops hire is official.

Jonathan Smith leaves the Pac12 like everyone else and heads to Michigan state
Has to be a pretty gloomy time to be an Oregon State fan. Your conference dissolves and you’re homeless, and now your favorite son alumni head coach won’t even stay. I feel for them, they’ve always seemed like a likable school/team to me.

Yeah, I’ve always liked Oregon State too, kind of the same for Wash State. Both of their paths forward are gloomy right now for sure.

Rumors on Reddit, twitter, etc. that TAMU boosters got cold feet after saying fan reaction to the Mark Stoops hire and that both sides mutually decided to just cancel the deal. Pretty funny if true.
