If Griffis wants to get a grad degree, there are plenty of good grad programs at FCS or D2 schools that would be happy to have him.

I don't think Griffis is going to land in a great situation. He was basically the worst starting quarterback in the P5 this season. He's 5'10", he doesn't have a great arm, he doesn't know how or when to run, and after three years in the system he can't execute this coaches' wishes, regardless of protection. I would think every OC in America believes they can develop a guy on their own roster to that level.
I agree with this. Mitch is the 116th rated QB, who was in the system for several years, and was given every opportunity to learn and work in that offense, and now he is expected to come in learn a new system, gel with new receivers? Look at how Hartman's numbers dropped from Wake to ND, that is going to impact how teams look at Mitch. I did a quick look around and Richmond, William Mary, and Davidson all seem set at QB currently, but that is where I would expect for Mitch to end up.

The real question now though is, do Kern and/or Santino follow

I mean he's graduating from college after 4 years. If his best option is at a D2 school it feels incredibly likely that he's just done with college football.

I think with the musical chairs that's about to happen in the transfer portal there will be a G5 team that is left without a good option and offers Griffis a spot. That's not a statement on whether he will do well there or anything, I just think it's likely that a school at the FBS level finds him a scholarship.

Tino is leaving and can’t say I blame him. I would hope Kern would stick around- he’s most experienced QB on a P5 team. However, It’s not his job to lose

But why ? There's probably a 3-star guy with potential, currently committed to a middle of the road G5 school, looking for a P5 offer. Why take Griffis over that kid ?

Harris was a good player but he couldn’t seem to stay healthy - wish him well

I don't know if you misread what I said, but I did not say that Griffis would land at a Power 5 school.

I'd be shocked if Griffis ended up P5, makes sense that he gets middle of the road or upper G5, and I could see him playing for a decent FCS team trying to add a QB for a playoff run. Given that he's probably looking for some NIL money, I'll guess G5 like Coastal or something

Brendon Harris still has eligibility? I thought this was his 6th and final year

It will be funny to see if Griffis or Marucci ends up in a better situation.
[Pesci voice] Funny how? Funny like a clown?

I think he needs a medical waiver for this season, as he only played in the first 2 games.

Wake Forest will start a QB next season who has never before won a game for Wake.
I mean this is what we did with Wolford and Hartman, so maybe not doing it this way was the real problem this season
