No the premise of a win being a win is wrong. If the premise was right we wouldn’t get railed for our weak OOC schedule.

We go undefeated, miss the tourney and the stats nerds tell us how our weak OOC schedule and beating teams at the wrong time earned us the first failed automatic bid in history.

Great game with two good teams even though Wake didn’t play their best. Rebounding was iffy but Efton’s tipouts were huge. And as someone said above, they’ve got some heat on them.

You should never ever count this team out. They find a way to win like no other Wake team I’ve seen in a long time.

And when the Joel is full and rocking like it was today (especially late in the second half) the announcer works. I can see though how he’d be obnoxious in a quiet or losing arena.
 
The NET cares about the result and efficiency. The result of a Wake win was expected, so it doesn't really help us. And our efficiency was basically right on target, so it also doesn't really help us. Now, if you watched the garbage basketball played by Purdue and Illinois yesterday, where defenses kept getting lost and there were a dozen uncontested threes, hardly any rebounds, star player Edey didn't have a shot attempt in the 4th quarter then Purdue tried to throw it at the end with idiotic mistakes - no worries, now that we're in conference play they're locked as elite and both receive massive NET bonuses for playing a "close" game. They could go out there with two dudes and play Horse and nobody would gain a spot on them.

I'm not sure why anyone gives two shits about any rankings in January. They mean absolutely nothing.
We have to simply keep winning; the mistakes and bad games to a minimum and we'll be fine.
