Great fixture or greatest fixture ever?

Oh I've got a noon flight? The bar is open. It's cool. I'm a "nervous flier".

Any time of day it's acceptable to drink in an airport bar.

I just wish they'd put some flight status monitors in them

amen to that. One good reason to join the US Airways Club. I have missed flights that took off 30 yards away from me because I was pounding beers in the bar. flightaware.com sometimes helps but even it is a little delayed.

Yes, I could just drink less. Fuck off.

Definitely. Nothing worse than going to pay your bill heading to the gate and realizing your flight was delayed and you could still be in the bar.

Plus, a double is only $3 more so it makes more economic sense in a dollar cost averaging way.

Dulles. Flight delayed of course.

Flying first class to ATL though so that doesn't suck.

I hate the Gordon Biersch at Reagan it's always packed. I am defs gonna try to slam a few drinks on Wed. in CLT before my flight to dc.

American express booked my travel and the group I interviewed with is paying. I just told them dates and times and was sent an itinerary.

hell yes...i hate to fly!

the first thing i do as i am walking to my gate is to find the closest bar. always acceptable to drink at the airport before a flight!

This thread is 100% factual, I absolutely love airport bars. Its the thing I miss most about not traveling for work anymore.

An airport bar and a hefty per diem were such a lovely combination. Also good call on the flight status monitors Buckets. I hated closing out only to come stumbling back when my flight was delayed.

Beer always seems to taste better to me when its poured at an airport bar

I'm planning to hit up Legal Seafood at Logan one morning in a couple of weeks for a brunch of blue point oysters and IPA.

I once got delayed for four hours going to Greensboro from Logan. I had 4 bowls of clam chowder.

I just pulled off the perfect timing with respect to leaving the bar and boarding my flight.

Terminal D at DFW has great bars.

I thankfully don't travel much but always enjoy the bars.

The babes are also always chatty at the airport bar. The best was one time in Tampa (of course) this chick was handing out Xanex like candy. Awesome flight.
