2023-2024 NCAA Men's Basketball Thread

College Basketball Trivia question:

Name the only Power Conference (ACC, Big East, Big 12, Big 10, Pac 12, SEC) school to have NEVER won an NCAA men's tournament game?

Yep. Nebraska. 0 for 7 tournaments. Think that streak breaks this year; they are legit.

went to espn and clicked on standings, nebraska was first team i came to that i couldn't remember winning. was gonna say UCF as well

Two minutes in and St. Johns has already run a different defense on all three possessions (man to man, 3-2 zone, man to man) and got three stops. I never understand staying in man all game unless you’re elite at it.
Fewer concerns that all the players are playing the same defense.

Because running zones takes a decent chunk of practice time that coaches would largely rather devote to other aspects

I hope enough teams keep this up to get HPU into the NIT. I guess they will be playing somewhere.

I knew as soon as Tennessee lost that Kentucky would lose as well. Every time that Kentucky’s bracket “opens up” they lose, vs them doing very well against difficult tournament paths.
