Last year’s team really didn’t encounter any adversity. They were clean midweek and didn’t lose a series. In Omaha they faced some but generally I think we agree that they left it all there. Walter didn’t have to do much, the players played and executed. This is going to be a true test because this team is fucking lost right now. Unless Burns is on the mound I don’t think anybody feels confident in our pitching. This shit gets contagious and we all know it. At some point it’s not just, “oh that’s baseball”. I promise you Walter is shitting his pants right now because unless he has a few arms we don’t know about (not talking about Roland and Wade) we are screwed.

Not nearly as pessimistic as a lot of people on this thread but Hartle's regression is very concerning. If he keeps pitching like this there's no way Wake will host a regional.
