NIT 2024: Next in a Long Line of Basketball Disappointments

Are we really still talking about the size of our [phallus]? JFC…it was absolutely electric a number of times this season (especially [after] Duke) and it always will be if we are winning. A smaller [phallus] does not guarantee that we will win, therefore winning is more important than [having] a smaller (and super expensive) [phallus].

So, his obvious shortcomings shouldn't be improved upon? How can anyone argue that he too frequently makes poor decisions and refuses to give the ball up when he should? How many times have we seen him have a stretch like against App against Power 5 opponents vs. how poor decisions he makes with ball and it results in a turnover, blocked shot or missed poor shot? Yeah, he's tough, he plays hard on defense and I really don't wish he'd leave, but he also has that glaring weakness that has been readily discussed on this board. Again, I probably blame coaching more than I do him, Forbes should coach him up on making better decisions and then hold him to improving it.
i just don't understand this post

are you similarly critical of other players (since cam might be our best all-around player)?

I'll try to describe further what I saw last night. I was sitting behind the basket near the tunnel and just happened to be watching Sallis as he walked off the court heading into the tunnel. He either tripped or stepped on something right behind by the basket and maybe turned his ankle or buckled his knee - he started hopping on one foot and put his arm on the shoulder of one of his teammates. He definitely was in some degree of pain as he had a grimace on his face. The whole thing lasted maybe 5 seconds before he was out of sight in the tunnel so that is all I saw. It could be a real injury or it could be one of those ankle turns that feels better 2 minutes later.
The really weird thing is that a couple of seconds later Efton Reid got his foot tangled in one of the TV cords behind the basket and he almost tripped too but he caught himself and got the cord off of his foot. It was a a very strange 10 seconds that just happened to occur right in front of me.
Oh ffs he got hurt on the espn+ cabling.

I remember the injury. Could have sworn he came back. Maybe I’m just remembering he kept playing the game.
He finished the game but then was rushed to the hospital that night or after the game. It was the one where he had 4 TDs and everyone on the boards was like WTF he seemed fine!

Playing a little bit smarter is an easy fix. Unlike a guy like Keller who just isn’t athletic enough to play effectively at this level. Boopie isn’t going to growth a few more inches. I just think it’s a shame if he isn’t able to improve that aspect, because if he can, he can be a league MVP type guy. Assists look good in the stat book too, give the ball up once in awhile, instead of going 1-2 or 3.

something is wrong with the Joel. we need a new arena!

I know some of yall took off today to watch the games. Get over to campus with your binoculars and zoom lenses and get us some scoop on our hurt man! We need to know, dammit!

Do we have a final official count of the App fans in attendance?

I lost track after 17,534 - Or is that the amount of "free" food and drink wakefan1995 has stolen from the LJVM concession vendors over the past few years.
