WFU Hoops: '24-'25 Roster Construction Thread: +Spillers/Biliew/Cosby/Johnson/Abass

Davidson 6-10 235 pound big David Skogman is in the portal. He will be a 5th year player; so I assume he will be a grad transfer. Skogman averaged 13 ppg and 5 boards a game for Davidson. He shot 47% from three (42% for his career in 200 attempts; so, he's a legit threat from three). He missed the last two months of the season with an injury, but fits a 5 out offense.

Seems like someone who could play with Efton and force him to be an almost exclusively inside 5 man. Could even go huge with Carr at the 3. Do like. Add him to the wishlist!

Wish list, OK.
Wake's top priority has to be point guard until we know what Sallis decides to do and whether anyone else decides to leave.

I mean, seems like a nice player but we really need an inside player and rebounder. Would be happy with an additional stretch 4, but sounds like Carr. Carr can’t play the 3, too laterally slow.

Absolutely, need another PG #1.

Canka, Keller, Marsh, leaves, wouldn't that free up three much needed scholarships to go with the two that Ituka and Monsanto leaves?

no offense to anyone, but i feel like these threads are littered with people poo-poo'ing guys who are gonna have mile-long offer lists.

mostly bummed we missed out on my boi PHILANDEROUS FLEMING, that some are saying was due to posts on this very here message boards

I just don’t see both Keller and Marsh leaving. One, maybe.

If either Marsh and/or Keller stay. Extensive weight training, tutoring from some competent big, Newell's training etc. Those boys need to be fed gunpowder with every meal to toughen their weak asses up!!!

I'm expecting our big will be an attempt at bringing in a Carr 2.0... Someone off a solid soph (or frosh) year for a smaller school that will be around after Carr & Reid depart.

I guess PG (and wing) is where we'd add players with more experience.

as excited as I am about Boopie's development next year I think it'd be ideal if we could bring in a grad transfer PG and Boopie could come in and be an energy/change of pace guy off the bench.

Honestly don't know if Boopie would be down for that though.

Boopie averaged like 16 and 3.5 ast. I don't think he's gonna take a bench role willingly.

Assuming that Sallis is gone, I'd be absolutely shocked if Boopie is coming off the bench next year. That would mean that we are bringing in two guards that are both better than Boopie, which seems pretty unlikely.
