For everyday wear I do 5 for $5 at Walmart. They're pretty much my most favorite underwear.

Plus they're Hanes - gotta support local business!

yeah; i still need cheap stuff for exercising. $18 for one pair doesnt sound ridiculously crazy as i am used to fancy capilene stuff... but i've been doing 5 for 20 at american eagle (it's ok to laugh at me) since high school, and 5 for 90 doesn't quite have the same ring.

well don't pay 90 for 5 pairs! you can get a break on it if you do 5 pairs. i realize 5 for 80 isn't a whole lot better, but every little bit helps :)

crap. i should have just bought underwear and not looked at the race belt skirt on skirtsports.... i think i get a prodeal w/ them from REI, gotta check on that.

race belt skirt? i've never heard of that before. my race belt is purely a belt. i really don't like it though. the little things where you attach your bib are too far apart, so i end up having to safety pin my bib, which kind of defeats the point of having a race belt.

It was definitely awakegirl! I asked about them because I've been reading a lot about them in wedding blogs and they sound like exactly what I've been looking for! She said she gets them pretty regularly. I haven't done it yet but I think I will in 2 weeks for my bridal shots. Depending on how they go I'm either doing that or gels for the wedding, I'm leaning towards gels just so I can get some added length.

I do get them regularly- love them. Also, I exclusively wear hanky pankys- they are on sale at ruelala today in packs of three btw. They are uber comfy and they look cute.

ok, i'm on the site and can't for the life of me figure out where to find them. why is there no search function or anything at all more user-friendly? where should i be looking?

Under bridal dresses and accessories. They're an accessories obviously.

ah, thanks! found it. i'm trying to decide how i feel about white underwear. i haven't worn white since i was probably 11 years old...

Yeah, this is a skirt w/ a silicone band at the top to keep it from riding up. It's doesnt have a liner/spanks underneath; it's designed to just be worn over your tri shorts or bathing suit so you don't have to do the run portion of a tri with your butt jiggling for the world... BUT it has hidden snaps on the waist band to snap your number in place. Then, unlike the belt, you don't have to worry about it turning around as you run (in Tris you get penalized if your race number is not across your front when you cross the tape). it's awesome.

interesting. sounds way more useful for triathletes than runners though. for once, i will not be sucked in :)

this was meant to be directed at lbe

Questions about the shellacs...how much more is it than regular manicure? And is it easy to take off? I realize it doesn't chip as quickly as a regular manicure, but when it does start to come off is it easy to take off the rest? I never get manicures because I feel like they don't last more than a couple days on me but I'd be curious about this!

And agreed on the Hanky Panky. I haven't bought any in a few years, but I love them. The thongs really are great. They're my favorite that I own for sure. And I wore these on my wedding day. Cute, comfy and didn't have to worry about picking any wedgies!

yeah, that particular item is more for triathletes... however, the whole rest of the line is pretty much for runners. look out!

I tried on one of the runningskirts.com skirts at an expo last year and I really didn't care for it. Seemed somehow shorter than my shorts usually are, which probably wasn't actually the case, but I felt like it was more "look at my legs" which is something I try to avoid.

Have you worn the skirtsports skirts before?

also, I've never heard of this hanky panky, perhaps I'll check it out after work today. Doesn't seem right somehow to look at undies at the office.

don't tell me these things! while i am not a real shopper when it comes to normal work or everyday clothes, i have a serious spending habit with my running clothes. i can't spend anymore!

Skirtsports has a couple different styles that are either more or less covering, depending on your preference. I find them to be pretty lightweight and more all-around flattering than other brands. Plus, there's not a really harsh waistband.
I also have a Brooks running skirt that I adore (also no harsh waistband), but it's definitely shorter than these are. It has 2" inseam spanks underneath, most of the skirtsports ones have 4" inseam spanks under.

Shellcas- maybe like 10 dollars more than a regular mani, but they last two weeks and they really don't chip. If you want to pick them off, the smart move is to go to your nail bed and try to get it all in one piece. They do not ruin under your nail. I got hps for the bride too! They're my something blue, although they're a thong with the little "I do" in rhinestones. I can't get into boyshorts for some reason even though I think they're sexy they drive me nutty when I wear them.
