Why Republicans can't elect a president today

You do realize that we had a Republican president three years ago, right?
 
Pretty much. And apparently Democrats don't appeal to fear, greed, and prejudice. Who knew?
 
I agree that the Republicans seem to be governed by the right-wing today. I used to consider voting for some of them, but not anymore.

That being said, if the Republicans had a good candidate this time, they would probably kick the President's ass. Thankfully for Democrats, it's fuckin' Romney.

Do you think Romney is a far right-wing candidate? His very nomination belies bob's entire argument.
 
Realizing that bkf won't see my post, it's pretty hypocritical to start a thread bashing republicans while having everyone who might disagree with the premise of the thread on ignore. WTF?

unless the next guy after Romney starts courting Hispanics now and gets other Republicans to get back to the positions W had, Republicans will have a very difficult time in 2016 and 2020.

The days of George Bush? You mean like the intrusion of the federal government into the education sphere with NCLB, the drug prescription plan and the extension of the National Security State with the WOT? Let's not forget the TSA and its professional gropers.
 
Devil READING IS FUNDAMENTAL. I only spoke about W's positions regarding Hispanics. If they don't they don't have a chance against Hillary or whomever runs in 2016.
