Who at Ford said that? Because the total demand for cars hasn't decreased in this country or worldwide. You think parts distributors are morons? You think they can't adapt? This is so telling. Liberals think central planning is a better method than free market capitalism.
 
Interesting that he is standing in Charlotte talking about America is not in decline. If this convention was in ATL, they would have to strike that line.

That would have likely caused bankruptcies at the healthier automakers such Ford Motor (F, Fortune 500), who would not have been able to get the parts they needed to build cars. That is why Ford went to Capitol Hill in late 2008 pushing for the rescue of its rivals.
