Official 2012-2013 NBA Season postmortem

When Odom gets in shape, they will have a solid bench on the front court with Odom, Turiaf, Hollins, Barnes and Thompkins. I'd rather have Evans than Turiaf, but Turiaf has proven to be a solid back-up for years.

RJ... I'm not sure what you're trying to argue. I was just saying that the Clippers announcers were homers because they said the Clips easily have the best bench in the league. Turiaf is garbage, saying that he started for the Heat/Knicks is just like defending Jamal Magloire by saying he once made an All-Star team. He's only played in 17 games the past two years. His best season ever he averaged 6 pts and 5 rebounds per game. Odom is out of shape and floats around the perimeter. Barnes is not a PF/C. Hollins and Thompkins are hot garbage.

I agree with all of this... I am a bit higher on Turiaf than you seem to be, buckets, but their frontcourt is below-average at best.

Turiaf only played 17 games last year. The year before he played 64. He isn't garbage. He's a very decent bench player. As I said, the Clippers should have kept Evans. This is especially true after getting Odom.

Lawler is a Clippers homer, but the Clippers overall bench is very, very good.

Their starting frontcourt is very, very good, IMO.

Their bench frontcourt is far below average. Turiaf is decent, Odom has potential should he get his head right, and the rest leave a lot to be desired.

Their bench backcourt is quite good.

Odom is stoked to play. When he is, he contributes big time.

The Clippers power guys is their weakness. They desperately need a rebounder.

Interesting that Greg Smith got some significant time for Houston while Terrence Jones and Royce White were DNP-CDs.

I'm still not sold on DeAndre. He's very inconsistent.

maybe the resident Rockets fans can confirm, but Royce is already in McHale's doghouse

He is, but he's a perfect complement to Blake, IMO.

in the regular season, yes. hopefully he gets more consistent. they didn't trust him to play much in game 7 against memphis last year, i think he was scoreless maybe with a rebound or two. the thing that bothered me the most is that he seemed cool with his performance and defended himself when a reporter asked if he was disappointed in his bad game. he said something like "i didn't have a bad game."

I've actually been hearing the opposite, a few people are saying he's over basketball. Hopefully CP3 and Billups light a fire under his ass.

My lady friend asked me if we can make "Fire Del Negro" t-shirts to wear to Clippers games this year...

Harden is a boss, granted they were playing the Pistons. If he can consistently do that against the West they might squeeze into playoff contention.

would you trade mike brown for [Redacted]?

Would you trade super gonorrhea for super aids? Outlook is pretty shitty with both of them. I did make the bz > Mike Brown tag tho.

I was heckling vinny pretty hard last night, my section was cracking up.

"ERIC BLEDSOE IS GOOD AT BASKETBALL"

after subbing in Eric for Chris and not like Willie Green or someone

"YOU'RE ALLOWED TO PLAY ERIC AND CHRIS AT THE SAME TIME, BY THE WAY"

Yeah, the entire Rockets forum (clutchfans.net) had a bit of a meltdown about this. You can see it here: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=228187

Basically everyone thinks Marcus Morris is a bust, and Terrence Jones is better. Donatas Motiejunas is also likely our most skilled offensive big man, and he didn't see the floor at all.

I don't think so. At least, I haven't read anything about that. He missed a bunch of training camp which is holding him back, but I don't think McHale holds it against him. Also, I'm not sure he's good enough yet.

During a timeout one of the things was bringing out 3 guys in halloween costumes and the crowd picking the best. Someone dressed up as Vinny and he got bood relentlessly, terrible (or great) decision by the Clippers staff on that one. It was hilarious.

This guy won hands down
