It was an exhibition against nobody but I think Devin Thomas played great, and I have high hopes for him. He showed that he has a nonstop motor and he caused a lot of trouble on defense tonight. I think a good nickname for him is "Tenacious D" because he's going to lead the team in both deflections and fouls, and I love it.

I love players who get in the trenches and get their hands dirty. DT is gonna be my favorite Deac in a couple years I bet.

Loved his hustle. Thought Rountree exhibited similar motor.

We really need him, Cav and Moto to hold their own on the interior on D and on the glass rotating at the 4 and 5, so Travis can do his thing at the 3. Sounds like he is the kind of kid who can do it.

I've been extremely bullish on both DT and Cav for a year. I think both are gamers. Both will have their growing pains, but I think they will both exceed most expectations here this year

hope so. key for devin will be staying out of foul trouble.

Devin appears to be a hard working player. In fact, everyone seemed to work hard last night. I'm not certain but I am almost certain that after one of our veteran players failed to hustle into defensive position on an interior switch, Bz called time-out and pulled that player out of the game. If correct, that shows the kind of demands a coach can make when he has viable options on the bench.

He impressed me more than anyone else out there. Madison was also a pleasant surprise, but Devin was the man.

Courtesy of Bob. Devin yells a lot.

All of the above comments about motor, toughness, etc is something we have not been able to say about this team in a while. Sure some players have it, but it is looking like collectively we already have a higher motor/toughness....based on 3 games...

I know I'm awfully negative about the bball program, but I think this season is what I was hoping 10-11 would be. Probably won't win many games, but I do think we will put out max effort 100% of the time and will have some real brilliant individual performances (mixed together with some real awful ones, the inconsistency of youth). Should be a fun, but frustrating ride. And then it will get really fun next season when we have Shaka on the bench (a guy can dream right?).

He is a hell of a good player as a freshman. Only going to get better. That kid plays hard all the time.

Once the offensive game matches his defensive game - watch out. Love his effort!
