    ACC Football Schedule Released

Very possible the Wake/UNC game is Sept 8... all our non-conf games are already slated. Sept 8 is the only opening in September for us... Elon on Sept 1, Louisville on Sept 15, ECU on Sept 22, and Idaho (filling the hole the Vols left) on Sept 29.

    Terps-heels

Actually agree... guarantee he will get lambasted by Roy for that... if for nothing else than making it necessary that Roy apologize to Turgeon for it.

    Bill Self

I actually remember that game very well. One of Josh Howard's first big-time performances, IIRC.

    Bill Self

    Hello, Clarice.

    Bill Self

Right... that's why Roy has 2 national titles and Self has 1... and why Roy has been to 7 Final Fours to Self's 1. Even if you're just comparing them both since they got to their most recent gigs... Roy, 2 titles, 3 final fours; Self, 1 title, 1 final four. And Roy's nowhere near the coach? Ok.

    Ohio State Football NCAA Sanctions

Racer -- first of all, you've forgotten the NCAA's assistant-coach exception. Where asst coach hid the fraud/etc. from superiors and there's no evidence superiors knew... no punishment for that alone. Secondly... in all the allegations, there was never a cover-up like there was with OSU. The...

    Ohio State Football NCAA Sanctions

I'm not defending Butch... I was never a huge fan, but you still cannot rebut the fact that there is no evidence Butch ever knew, and certainly none that he covered anything up. I'm happy he's gone, to be honest with you... and am very much looking forward to Fedora and his new DC (Vic...

    Ohio State Football NCAA Sanctions

Really? I guess I missed the evidence -- direct or otherwise -- showing or even suggesting our head coach actively covered up violations and failed to notify the NCAA of said violations.

OSU got nailed for the cover-up. Wouldn't have been nearly as severe without that.

    Music City Bowl Ticket Update

Park in Lot R if you can... great lot to tailgate in. We set up last year right where the pedestrian bridge ended so met and saw a ton of people. Lucky for you all, you won't have 200,000 Tenn fans to deal with... just cowbells.

Tar Holes Have a New FB Coach

That's a bogus story put out there by A&M fans wanting everybody to think Fedora preferred TAMU. Maybe he did... who knows? But that story is bogus. As reported by WSJ's own Bill Cole: http://www2.journalnow.com/sports/2011/dec/06/1/reports-say-fedora-is-headed-to-unc-ar-1685350/ "Larry...

Help Me Destroy Arrogant Gamecock Fan

Tell him S.Carolina is neither "Carolina" (established in 1801; UNC in 1789), nor are they "USC"... that's Southern Cal, of course. That always riles them up.... They are merely cocks.

    Everett Withers....ha!

OK... but in no way did I imply that all land-grant schools are sub-par or that NCSU is a not-so-highly-regarded school *because* it's a land-grant school. I merely used that classification to point out the different missions of UNC and NCSU. And you are correct... MIT and Cornell are both...

    Everett Withers....ha!

OK, they're better at engineering, agriculture, vet school, textiles, etc... all the things that UNC doesn't really offer. They're a typical land-grant, engineering, agriculture school... UNC is a more traditional liberal-arts university (like Wake/Duke/UVA). Besides, a VERY small percentage...

    Everett Withers....ha!

The academic scandal notwithstanding, Withers is correct that UNC is still the flagship state university, is still a very highly-regarded (and highly-ranked) public university, and a far better overall institution in nearly all respects than NCSU. That's indisputable. His remarks may have been...
