I've seen some dark times in my 21 years as a Wake fan, but this is the most depressing point I've ever seen Wake basketball. Zero hope.

I would much prefer to tank next season and save our scholarships than sign some Bz caliber recruits to fill the roster here at the end of the class. I hate to lose Cav and Moto but purging anything from the old regime to make room for the new has value in my eyes.

Does the fact that Wake held on to a coach for four year,who never batted greater than a 33% winning percentage in his conference, increase the likelihood of a good candidate coming. The NCAA doesn't enforce or penalize pay-for-play anyway (see Oregon, Cam Newton, HBO). Pearl will do very well at Auburn. A perfect match in cultures. Great move on their part.

Agreed, Pearl is a great coach. If I were a school that didn't try to brand itself as "clean" and "having integrity" I would pick him up in a hurry. Auburn should do everything it can to get the guy. He would do really well there. (Not saying this in jest.)
