The religious right's hypocrisy now on full display

I just follow the Golden rule and treat everyone the same. That goes for everyone for all walks of life. I think everyone would benefit from following this exact same principle. Even if they disagree with you on spiritual/religious principles. It's also the reason, I rarely visit the Tunnels.

The religious right's hypocrisy now on full display

You won't find any of this. Jesus went out into the world, but he was not of it. Again, he loved us all as sinners, but he did not celebrate the sin. And yes that goes for lying, cheating, stealing, etc. You name it. I'm just repeating basic Christian precepts and principles here.

The religious right's hypocrisy now on full display

I suggest you start Biblical readings much earlier, say in Genesis. He came to fulfill the law, not to completely do away with it. Yes, Jesus was there for the downtrodden and wanted all to turn from sin to find salvation through following his footsteps. That's why I mentioned that he was what...

The religious right's hypocrisy now on full display

I hope you find what you're looking for. I just don't think you'll find it in a lot of churches that strive to follow the Bible and follow in Jesus' footsteps (who was a devout Jewish Rabbi by the way).

Last projection I saw had Sallis much later for the mock draft. This all could very well change following the tournament, with him going a bit further down. Still a good chance he comes back next year. Last mock draft I saw had him at #50.

Chat Thread: Ready for the reign/rain to end

My neighbor took down his Holes garden flag and entrance mat, and replaced them with Yankees materials this morning. It's April 1st and Spring is here.

NCAA Tournament Discussion Thread - One Shining Moment - UConn Huskies

I can't remember which thread, but I remember a few posters a few weeks ago dismissing the idea of working hard for a big post body presence like Edey. "The ogre from Purdue" and "it's not the 90's" come to mind. I think it would be a mistake to completely dismiss the idea of moving the gears...

NCAA Tournament Discussion Thread - One Shining Moment - UConn Huskies

Are you kidding me with some of these replies? Every single Deac (alum and fan alike) should be celebrating. The only tears that need to be shed are those with a tint of baby blue. GTHC! GTHC!

NCAA Tournament Discussion Thread - One Shining Moment - UConn Huskies

There is currently more unintelligible drunk redneck yelling and cursing from my idiot neighbor. Much more so than usual for a Thursday night. I take it the Holes lost. Good.

    Wilmington, NC

467,337 Much more than I thought. I knew it had to be much more than what I expected. "The Wilmington metro area ranked No. 9 in the U.S. Census Bureau's Top 10 U.S. Metro Areas from July 1, 2022, to July 1, 2023. With a 2.8% population growth, Wilmington metro's population increased from...

    Wilmington, NC

120k? Is this also including the "metro area"? I didn't even know Leland ever existed until about a month ago. There must be 10-20k easily in that area alone directly across the river. The area outside of Wrightsville Beach used to be lots of farm lands 25 years ago. Now there's shopping...

    Wilmington, NC

Yeah I spent some time in Greenville about a year ago. There's no way that's anywhere near the same current population as Wilmington.

I remember thinking when Loren Woods transferred years ago, "Well, that's unfortunate that he's leaving us for Arizona, but I'm sure that this is a rarity for us."

    Wilmington, NC

Haven't been there since 2004. Taking the wife to Biltmore in June for our Anniversary. I imagine I'll have a similar surprise.

    Wilmington, NC

I just didn't realize the population had increased so significantly. It feels as if it's doubled in size since the last time I spent any significant amount of time there.

    Wilmington, NC

What in the world happened here over the past 10-20 years? My son wanted to move back to NC to be closer to some other relatives, but he loves living close to the water, so he and his wife settled on Wilmington. I thought this was a good move, because most of my memories of making trips to WB...

    2024 College Basketball Coaching Carousel

While both haven't made it past the first round, it's still: Pat Kelsey 4 NCAAT appearances > Wes Miller 2 NCAAT appearances. And Kelsey has been doing this at Winthrop and Charleston. Wes Miller has been fairly poor to mediocre in Cincinnati since leaving UNC-G.

    2024 College Basketball Coaching Carousel

Wes Miller is a very poor to mediocre coach.

    2024 College Basketball Coaching Carousel

People should be happy for Pat Kelsey. It's the best win this late in March that anyone associated with Wake basketball has had in quite some time.
