Did a quick search and didn't see the official announcement posted.... we'll be playing Florida as part of the MetroPCS Orange Bowl Classic later this year. 12/20. Will add other schedule details as they're released for the full season. Appreciate other details that have already been released. Full press release from wake on the Florida game below.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest will face 2014 NCAA Final Four participant Florida next season, as the Demon Deacons and Gators will square off in the MetroPCS Orange Bowl Basketball Classic on Dec. 20 in Sunrise, Fla.

In addition to the Wake Forest-Florida matchup, ACC rival Florida State will face USF in the one-day event, now entering its 21st year in 2014, held at the BB&T Center, home of the NHL's Florida Panthers.

Wake Forest is 5-6 all-time against Florida in the teams' 11 previous meetings on the hardwood. The Deacons and Gators last met during the 2005-06 season when Florida beat Wake Forest 77-72 at the 2k Sports Classic at Madison Square Garden in New York.

The teams have split four neutral site meetings, which includes Gator Bowl Classic meetings in 1964 and 1975 in Jacksonville, Fla. and a 1956 Carrousel Tournament game in Charlotte.

Wake Forest will be making its first-ever appearance in the Orange Bowl Classic.

Game times and TV broadcast information will be announced at a later date. For ticket information, contact the Orange Bowl ticket sales office at (305) 341-4701 or visit OrangeBowl.org.

The Demon Deacons are coming off a 2013-14 campaign that saw them finish 17-16 overall and 6-12 in the ACC.

Florida finished 36-3 overall last season, falling in the Final Four to eventual national champion UConn. The Gators, who earned the top seed in the NCAA Tournament, went 18-0 in SEC play and won the conference tournament.

Wake Forest is 79-59 against current SEC schools, which includes a loss to 2014 Sweet 16 participant Tennessee this past November at the Battle 4 Atlantis.

Chris Walker is returning, so they will be loaded and have a starting roster with a higher ceiling than the guys who made it to the final four last year. That doesn't translate to automatic success, but it is troubling.

I had a dream a couple nights ago that I received a mailing from the Deacon Club and it had a picture of Wake cutting down the nets after beating Florida in this game in double OT. Can't tell you what that means other than dreams don't always make total sense.

Who would have thought that the football team would play in the Orange Bowl before the basketball team ever did?
