Warning: I will be out of town Wednesday through Friday, so the scoring spreadsheet will probably not be posted until after Friday's round.

Time for round three of the 2015 Grand Slam Contest. This contest will run through the 2015 season, and a winner will crowned at the end of the season. You get bonus points for participation so be sure to submit an entry for each Major.

Cumulative Standings going into the PGA:

PGA Championship

FORMAT: Listed below are most of the golfers participating in the The U.S. Open. You need to pick 6 of them with a total value of 400 or more. Pick carefully - your team will end up "missing the cut" if more than two of your golfers miss the cut in the event! To make your selections, send me a PM with the golfers' names and point values.

SCORING: Your score will be the aggregate of your best four golfers. Since you have to have at least four scores counting, if more than two of your golfers miss the cut, so does your team. There are also "bonus points" at the end of the tournament. If you've got the champion golfer on your team, it's -5. The runner-up gets you -3, and having the third-place golfer gets you -1 off your score.

DEADLINE: All entries must be sent to me by 7:45 AM Thursday, August 13th.

Not picking Rory, as great as he can be, he can also stink up the joint at times. They say that course is a tough walk too, with a bad ankle, he's a risky option.

Amazing a guy (I'm talking about you Tiger) can be a 40 point play when he hasn't even sniffed the cut in the last 2 majors.

One of the potentially decent 150ers just withdrew - DeLaet is still injured. Replaced by O'Hair.

In at 400. My top 4 better come to play or I'm toast.

Same here. There aren't many long shots to like in 125-150 range but hope I found 1 or 2. But there are a lot of folks to bet on in the 40 or less range.

In at 400. Feel pretty good about the team all around.

He's not even the worst 40 in the list... Another has missed 4 of his last 7 cuts on the PGA Tour and has fewer top 20's in 2015 than Tiger. Both only made one cut in a major. One of them hasn't even posted 2 rounds in the 60's in any PGA Tour event this year.

(seriously what the hell happened to Martin Kaymer? Won the Players and the US Open just a year ago... Pretty incredible.)

Agreed, Kaymer is hard to figure. Too much talent to be playing that bad.

Kaymer had an epic collapse on the back 9 on Sunday in the UAE earlier in the year and has done little since. I'd be surprised if an experience like that would mess with a golfer as accomplished as Kaymer. But he's also had down years before. He seems to have higher highs and lower extended lows than most top 30 type golfers.

Also in at 405.

In a last minute, less than lucid decision, I switched out Furyk for Sergio.

12 strokes back requires desperate measures. "When you ain't first you're last."
