Yes.
Would be awesome it were our college.
It won't be.
Maybe Demon was playing the long game.

He's going to demand $5M or so.
Whatever he asks, if he's available ... pay it.
He'll go to ESPN for a year and then have his pick of jobs (Texas? UNC? UCLA? Auburn?).
One of these is not like the other
It's a culture thing.

UNC?
It's not a football school
UCLA will have a coaching vacancy soon.
What about Steve Forbes at ETSU as a coaching candidate?
ah didn't realize that Forbes was caught up in the Bruce Pearl stuff at Tenn, prob a non-starter for Wake
Oooooooopssss
He was right that Forbes was a non starter at Wake until John Currie got here
Sheehan's take that if we fired Turge last year we would risk becoming Wake might be his all time "Turge take"
We kept Turge and still became Wake, right down to having Danny ******** Manning as our head coach!
Unless Miller has a better offer, success at Charlotte, Conference USA, is much more likely to result in a Power Conference job than a success in the Southern Conference. Can't remember any recent examples of a coach jumping from the SoCon to an ACC, SEC, Big 12 or Big 10 job. Conference USA has:
- Mike White Florida
- Jerod Haase Stanford
- Tony Barbee Auburn
- Josh Pastner GT
- Danny Manning WF
- Donnie Tyndall TN
- Billy Donovan Florida
Pitt will be an interesting case study in a few years, as they are absolutely terrible right now.
If they finish above Wake in the next couple of years, Manning should immediately be let go.
uconn is an AWFUL job right now
