2019 WR Donovan Greene leaning to WF

Greene had a great sophomore year at Mt. Airy and is a very good athlete at 6'1" 170. He is a good leaper with very good hands and speed. He missed a few games but still had nice stats. Clawson is after him and word has it that he is ready to commit. He is also a good basketball player and can dunk from a standing position under the basket. He would be a great get for the Deacs and could be the next James Brim with better hands.

Look at his Hudl film. He will blow up after this year so WF had better get an early commit and hope he stays with us.
 
Donovan deserves to have this thread revived. Maybe he will see it if he visits the message board. Duke out and UNC, WF, ND, and VT in the hunt. We need him in camp again this summer.

With our offense coming alive with the addition of talented players, our great situation at QB, the opportunity to play early, and the proximity of Mt Airy to Wake Forest (45 minutes door to door), WFU is a great situation for Greene. I hope James Brim and Tyson Clabo (an assistant coach at MA) are helping us with him.
 
I didn’t know Tyson Clabo was in Mt. Airy. He was a great Deac and had a good NFL career. It can’t hurt our cause having him there.

Would love to have another James Brim
 
It'll be interesting to see how he is used next year. Mt airy has a new coach with a triple option background, and has had very little use for wide receivers in the past.

Without a good passing QB, even Kelly Holder wasn’t able to take full advantage of Greene over the past 2 years. The big plays shown on Hudl came from very few touches per game.

He married a girl from Mt Airy. He might live at Lake Norman but his mother in law’s business has its headquarters in MA and he is has been a volunteer assistant coach for the last couple of years.
 
Tyson Clabo has a huge farm in the Claudville, VA area which is only about 15 minutes from Mt. Airy
 
The Mt Airy HS to Wake Forest pipeline continues. James Brim 2.0!!🎩

So he committed to Duke a few months ago, but now is a Wake commit. Sounds like a good story.
