Longwood shot 59% from 2. Awful. Interior defense needs to improve. Pressure on the ball defense works best when there’s at least one player that can defend the rim.
Ody returning will help
The last we heard, Carter Whitt was going to join the team before Christmas. So we'll actually be gaining a player once this whole thing gets fired up again.
Is he trying to catch COVID ?
On the flip side, VT was supposed to be near the bottom of the league and they just beat Villanova.

Plus Whitt now counts as a 2020 signee, not 21.
Game Thursday @ 3pm against Catawba will be "televised" on ACCN.
Forbes said during his radio show that Carter Whitt will definitely get minutes this season, especially w/ Dubose out indefinitely. Said Whitt is behind defensively, but should be fine on offense. Forget the exact quote, but said something about how Whitt's vision and feel for the offensive end is as good as any point guard he's coached (or at least something similar to that).
After that, 3 conference games in a week: @GT on Sunday, @UVA on Wednesday, @Duke on Saturday.
what is the deal with Dubose. I know he is out but didn't catch the details.
Deacs heading back home for a couple of games this week, but neither one looks like a probably win (we'll be underdogs in both).
Next stretch:
vs. Louisville (1/13)
vs. VT (1/17)
@ UNC (1/20)
@ NCSU (1/27)
Very real possibility that we start 0-7 in the ACC... But I'm hoping the team can steal 1-2 of those 4 games before the schedule gets more favorable (Miami, ND, Pitt, BC, etc).
According to KP, WF will be a dog in every remaining game on the schedule. The three games where WF has the best chance to win are:
January 30 -- Miami: 37%
February 2 -- @ND: 32%
February 7 -- Pitt: 40%
February 19 -- @BC 36%
March 5 -- GT 40%
Currently, KP project WF to finish the ACC 4-14 (that assumes that UVA and Cuse games are not rescheduled) and to finish DFL in the conference.
