Agreed. It seemed very un-Ron like too. But then again, it seems like he has a knack for choosing the absolute worst times to be aggressive, and vice versa.
 
Burns and CMC with 3 epic TDs today.
 
That's either a TD or a touchback. Definitely not an incomplete pass.
 
I was just thinking "It's hard to criticize Norv when we've got 28 on the board" but man. That was just a horrible 3rd down call that compounded into a bad 4th down. In that situation, you run up the gut and if you don't get it, kick the FG to make it a 7 point game.
 
Looked like CMC could have bounced to the outside on 4th. But the 3rd down call was stupid.
 
The benefit of a HB pass is that you draw defenders to the back and there's someone open downfield. It's hard to pull that off close to the endzone where there isn't much downfield.
 
Gotta admit, Minshew is a pretty good QB. He definitely has a future in this league. It may not be as a permanent starter, but he will stick around.
 
Going to be a second straight ironic win if Minshew's fumble decides the game.
 
Some iffy playcalls. You want high percentage run pass option so you can force them to burn a TO if it isn't there.
