2020 Democratic Presidential Nominees

She is so far out of her league at this point that it's ludicrous.

She is so far out of her league at this point that it's ludicrous.

Look at her colleagues in the house and reconsider that position. Unless you are saying she is so far ahead of her colleagues.

Start with this guy: https://steveking.house.gov/
Then consider this guy: https://gaetz.house.gov/
Then this guy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duncan_D._Hunter
How about this recently ousted congressman: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dana_Rohrabacher

...the list goes on.

I'm not saying there aren't others who are worse or flat out nuts, but she isn't ready for leadership like some seem to think.

I might just go ahead and write her in on my Alabama ballot next year. Why the fuck not?

Because showing that you can read, write and vote for a Dem can send you directly to Hunstville prison.

Speaking of anti-semitism...

nobody should automatically be an ally of the jews just because

1. Not really sure why I was included in that group to comment. Wouldn't rj be a better person to get a response from?
2. I was hosting a party last night. Sorry I wasn't on call to respond.
3. Meh. But it is funny seeing AOC jump on the anti-Semitic attack train after defending Omar's comments as not being anti-Semitic. So which is it, because the connection here is more tenuous.

if Sanders wasn't a non-practicing jew and was instead say a non-practicing catholic or protestant, would the criticism of the fact that he has become wealthy when his only real accomplishment in life is being a politician who rages against inequity and business not be relevant or apt?

Chris, both your posts are jokes right? Omar criticized Israel and the pro-Israel lobby. That headline is directly using anti-Semitic tropes.

Sanders probably has less net worth than anybody else who has been in Congress for 28 years. And didn’t much of his worth come from writing a book after running for President? Also his wife was a college president for several years. Railing against inequality means you want other people to make money not that you can’t. I haven’t seen any evidence that Sanders is hurting anybody else’s ability to make a living or engaging in any lucrative corruption.

No, not at all.

Sanders has a higher net worth than Joe Biden, for instance.

The article didn't accuse Sanders or anything underhanded. It just pointed out that it muddles his message now being one of the high wealth persons he regularly rails against.

Regarding Omar, I didn't really think it was that big of a deal. She should have used other words. But this ideas that you can't use this line of argument against Sanders without it being regarded as Anti-Semitic is specious. They could have chosen better twitter pictures, but the article itself is fine.
