Because the announcers are stupid. Hence Gumbel repeatedly calling Trubisky "Darnold" nad Chubba Hubbard "Howard"

It was already first and goal when he taunted. Thus, after marking off the 15 yard penalty, wouldn't it be first and goal still? Apparently not.
