The big races are:
Kentucky governor
Mississippi governor
Virginia state legislature
Ohio abortion and marijuana referendums
Pennsylvania supreme court

VA state leg is the one I'm watching. Youngkin has much bigger ambitions and swinging that state completely red would be a decent launching pad.

Don't you put your bad juju on us Ricky Bobby! Been saying youngkin is dangerous from his first dumb ass sweater vest.

I did my part today.

Just voted. The only close race on my ballot was a casino measure which I voted against. The turnout looked pretty good considering the two legislative races were uncontested, probably due to the casino measure. According to the older pundits, the bad weather held down the turnout in 2021, but it's beautiful out this year, some maybe there is something to that.

Thank goodness you voted on the only day votes should be counted!

I voted 2 weeks ago for the big election and I’m worried mine won’t count (rightfully so).

Of course, I’m talking about High Point mayor and council. We’ll see if my neighbor can get enough to ascent to the highest office in the southwest of Guilford County.

It only counts if you voted in two or more jurisdictions where you are registered, like mark meadows.

There are four senate districts that Virginia Public Access Project has listed as a tossup. Pubs need all 4 if the rest of their predictions go as listed.
SD27 (Fredricksburg area)-There is a credible independent candidate (former stripper incidentally) running from the left.
SD17 (VA-NC border around I-95)-The democrat is defending himself for 20-year old domestic abuse allegations
SD24 (Newport News)-In college, the democrat's frat did a fundraiser referred to as a "slave auction" (???)
SD31-outside of DC, nothing too weird about this one.

Helloooo from SD-31

As for the stripper it's pasties and no lap dances in VA so she's practically a life guard.

Geez. Running against those rules is a good platform.

This is Mississippi's first gubernatorial election since Reconstruction in which only the popular vote determines the governor. Doubt it will matter, but it shows the legal of slavery and Reconstruction is strong.

Feel free to convince me MSNBC's coverage is better than CNN's. Maybe I'll see what PBS has going on too.

Unsurprisingly, the election commission has run out of ballots in Jackson. Evidently they also posted incorrect polling locations, as well.

Every R gripe is pure projection.

For a political party that's supposedly doomed according to recent polls and media hype, Democrats appear to be quite alive and vigorous tonight.

Fair to wonder if MAGA Republicans only vote in Presidential elections. Could be a commentary on how antigovernment voters pay less attention to…government.

One theory behind this that low propensity voters (e.g. white rural working class, Black and Hispanic men) who are shifting to Trump and high propensity voters (e.g. well-educated, suburban voters) are shifting to Democrats.

Andy Beshear will be a top presidential candidate for 2028 if Trump wins in 2024. Could be the first president younger than me.

Someone explain KY to me? Like a governor and your state government have a much higher chance of impacting your day to day than the federal.
