Fear of just the lack of an impartial view? But what specifically would you be afraid a liberal professor would teach?
Very basic topic but if an econ teacher has spent their life criticizing trickle down economics, I'd imagine someone might be concerned their not being taught both sides of the argument.
Just like if a professor was heavily involved in Trump's political campaign and on his staff, five years from now when the professor is back teaching I'd imagine you could be concerned you're not getting an unbiased view of recent/current events.
I think it's safe to say bias among teachers is common and even inevitable, but that doesn't mean they can't be a good teacher. But I'm also not trying to argue any side here just saying I can definitely see why people may believe some subjects can be political (and taught differently based off professor).
