Illinois loses its starting SG, SF and Center from an 8-10 Big 10 team. Would like to make Brad Underwood wish he hadn't jilted OK State.

Any word on Wake releasing the Non-conference schedule for next season? From what we already know, it seems like WF may not play a true road game until their first ACC roadie.

Does anybody care about that CP vs. Deron Williams game except Wake and Illinois fans? Crazy that CP is still an elite PG and Deron is a ring chaser.

Here are the other ACC/Big 10 matchups:

Northwestern at Georgia Tech
Duke at Indiana
Notre Dame at Michigan State
Miami at Minnesota
Penn State at NC State
Boston College at Nebraska
Michigan at North Carolina
Clemson at Ohio State
Louisville at Purdue
Florida State at Rutgers
Maryland at Syracuse
Wisconsin at Virginia
Iowa at Virginia Tech

Is it random chance to be the 15th team left out of the challenge? I used to think it was the last place team, but Pitt was not last although they were close. Maybe there is a rule that BC can't be left out every year. ??

Underwood is good tho. Imagine he'll turn them around quick

We only really remember because we just hit #1 when it happened. If we were even #2 at that point it wouldn't stick out as much.

Yeah. I wonder if Illini fans remember.

I'm sure Illinois fans remember most details of that season well. Neither of us has done very much sense.

And they actually made the damn title game, so they have more reason to

Pepperidge Farms remembers.

Underwood vs. Manning = ZERO DEFENSE... Or at least it would have last season.

Should be a fun game.

The most important part of the statement. Last year, Wake's best chance to win was to be superior on offense, and we were. The players we had were never going to be even an average defensive team. Add to this, JC's getting called on barely touch fouls and it makes even more sense.

No major or close to major predictions had Wake making the NCAAT last season, but we did. This was done by highlighting the abilities of our players and putting them in position to win games.

Sheesh... Was just stating a fact. Wasn't trying to push the narrative that Danny Manning can't teach defense. Just saying that it should be a fun game to watch based on last year's style of play.

Underwood's Cowboys and Manning's Demon Deacons were 2 of the 3 top 40 teams in Kenpom that had the starkest difference between offense and defense.

Ok State - #22 overall, #1 offense, #154 defense
Wake Forest - #36 overall, #7 offense, #176 defense
(other was Marquette - #32/#8/#165)

And I was simply showing why...talk about sheeeesh...

Was curious which team(s) Wake has never been scheduled against in the nineteen ACC-Big Ten Challenges (in which Wake has an 11-6 record). Looks to be Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State and Maryland.

Kind of surprising that ESPN never penciled in a WF/Penn State ESPNU match up during the [redacted] era.
