so i was trying to figure out what the lexmark prank was and have already told my coworkers the following:

me "do we have any lexmark printers"?

coworker: "maybe?"

me: "apparently they can now receive voice commands... like siri!"

coworker: "really??"

me: "yeah like you stand next to them and yell print!"

other coworker: "are our's new enough for that??"

me" "not sure"

coworker walks over to printer

coworker: "PRINT!"

nada... guess ya got me, freaka.

I pulled the printer prank 2 years ago (I think cookout posted it). It got a ton of people in my department. The sad part is, I never confessed to being the prankster and it would always randomly come up 'I wonder who did the printer prank...'.

i don't know if my office has the sense of humor for the printer prank.

i'm pretty sure someone would get to it early, see that the 'voice command' function isn't working, and call in a work order for the printer. it's like $150 each time to get someone to come look at the thing, so i don't know that people would be pleased if that happened.

I'm going to do the printer prank and (maybe) Samuel Jackson picture replacement prank on Sunday so no one knows it was me (initially at least). Our department loves pranks so I'm not worried about getting in trouble, but on the off chance that people get mad I can easily deny the pranks.

Haha yeah I remember posting that. Think someone else got some peeps pretty good in their office too.

This thread is incomplete until yodeacsgo makes an appearance.

I wish Ron's interviews today were an early April Fool's.

This really isn't an April Fools joke but some friends a work say there was an email document floating around many years ago that you could rename and send. Once someone opened it it would automatically turn up the speaker volume to high and yell "hey, I'm looking at porn". Nobody can seem to locate it. Just wondering if anyone one here knows about it. I'm sure it is some self extracting wav file attached to a word document or something like that. Not sure how it would turn up your speakers though.

Tape a strip of paper and tape it over the sensor on the bottom of the mouse. People will not be pleased. Last time I did this it resorted in one broken mouse and two other work orders.

That was me. I slayed about a dozen people with it. The best part was, we dont even have lexmark copiers.

One of the other things I did was bring in a wireless keyboard and start messing with my coworkers when they were typing. That just pissed them off.

Yeah there's a fine line between pulling a lighthearted prank and pissing people off. I think the tape on the bottom of the mouse prank would just piss people off.

Your avatar is making me hungry.

There's always the .bat file in people's startup folders to have their computer restart every time it boots into Windows, but that's also very annoying.

Trap is set.
