Probably not. WFU football is at its best with multiple, red shirted upper classmen. Has been that way forever. When the cupboard is bare, the Deacs struggle. The players are the same, but they get more physical and are mentally coached up.

Not like big boys, who bring in super studs who run roughshod over teams and leave for the NFL as soon as possible.

We could go more in-depth with transfer talent, but ultimately I don’t think we are going to win a great deal more games than the other P5 teams on that list who recruit on our level. We will occasionally be buoyed by the “diamond in the rough” recruits, but we don’t have enough of those players to consistently compete at the conference championship level.

Did any of these other teams shit the bed three straight years against UNC-CH ?

I mean, the coaches are in charge of recruiting too, so do a better job.

I think losing to the same conference opponent 3 times in a row is a very common occurrence for P5 teams, especially those who recruit at our level.

Vandy just won their first P5 game in like 30 tries, and they are likely the most common school to us in those rankings and academically.
