Ask the Pit - Atlantic Beach/Beaufort/Morehead CIty

We frequent that area and I love Beaufort Grocery. Blue Moon is good too.

Last year, we tried Amos Mosquito's and thought it was actually pretty good.

There's a great bakery on Main Street in Morehead City across from the inlet seafood drag.

Yes, Sanitary sucks. I miss The Net House.
 
Agree on: Cape Lookout, Beaufort Grocery, Ruddy Duck, Arendell Room and Jack's.

Also add in: Chef's lunch should be on Sunday so you can get the bloody mary bar, if you can't make it to cape lookout at least go to shackleford banks - there's a cheap water taxi from beaufort waterfront, Picatta's for triggerfish sandwich at lunch, Windansea is amazing but you must get reservations - can be hard to do sometimes - very small.
 
Overrated: Beaufort Grocery, Sanitary, Channel Marker
Good: Big Oak
Awesome: Island Grille, City Kitchen, Blue Moon, Crab Shack (shrimp burger), Aqua
 
Channel Marker is way overrated and overpriced.
 
On the other hand, if you've NEVER eaten at the Sanitary, you need to check that box at least once.

Jack's Bar in Morehead is good place to have a few beers before dinner, always swome drunk chick on the deck dancing and falling down and having her tits slip out, good times.
