As the lunch date was 10 hours ago, this thread can probably die, but I did want to say the burrito joint Black Cat Burrito is pretty damn good.
 
I think macadoos is overrated. Another vote for black cat. But there are a few better, non-overrated, overran by students & parents are in blowing rock. But definitely some good eats in Boone.
 
Coyote Kitchen is the right answer. Ate there Saturday.

Macadoos is touristy crap. Red Onion and ODB are pretty good, but CK is better.

Never been to Black Cat.

Boone drug still serve up dogs at the lunch counter?
 
Ended up at Red Onion. Forgot I had been there until I got inside. Food was pretty good but my dinner there a few years back was better.
 
I'd drive over to Banner Elk and eat something there, but that's just me.
