I delved into the seedy world of bitcoin gambling this morning. Unfortunately, unless you use a VPN service, blackjack isn't available.

I was able to play roulette and I believe some of the slots are available. The site I chose(https://www.bitstarz.com) gives you a bonus with you first few deposits. Unfortunately, that bonus restricts your ability to cash out any winnings because of the promotion rules. I think you would probably be better off forfeiting the bonus if you really want to play and be able to cash out your winnings.

In my experience, with online gambling, it can be really difficult finding reliable opinions on site. I ended up just choosing one by consensus seems legit. I will say that playing with bitcoin makes me feel much more secure than playing with my bank account or credit card or something. Such a shady business.

Has anyone else done this stuff?

Honestly, I can see why it is regulated here in the US. Using bitcoins really obfuscates the real value of your bets. It would be extremely easy to bet large amounts of money because we don't inherently value things in bitcoin.

Why would anyone want to play online roulette or slots? Would solve the problems preventing online poker, though

There are quite a few people doing it.

For some reason, I'm now able to play Blackjack. It's tough to get comfortable with the odds, though, as you can't see what they are doing with the decks.

I know SOME people play them, and ive done it before for a few minutes here or there, just never would have expected you to enjoy online roulette, etc.

not sure i understand the appeal of online blackjack either

Yeah it was pretty miserable the few times I did it this morning.

I mean, the odds are already against you the blackjack player vs. the house. The main appeal of blackjack in a casino to me is the atmosphere, ordering drinks, joking around with other players. Playing online just seems like a systematic way to lose money.

Yeah, I definitely enjoy the blackjack atmosphere, but I also don't mind the online play. I'm pretty risk averse when it comes to gambling so I don't often lose much in blackjack.

I can't get over how easy it would be for an addict to blow boatloads of coins.

Seems like it would be easy to set up an online blackjack algorithm it which very few players won but nobody lost enough to be too alarmed.

That algorithm is just the normal rules of blackjack

Sure. I'm factoring in the size of the bets as well.

Terrible idea. Pit games like Roulette and Blackjack are a total waste of money. If you play online you are also going to have your money seized if you try to use a VPN.

ITT: People spend money to click a mouse button over and over again.

Do you have any idea how bitcoins work?

Yeah - they're not so safe when you transfer (deposit) them to shady illegal gambling websites. (Any legit website like FTP or Stars will have sophisticated software to track US players and will also seize the money in your account if you get caught.)

Thanks for the insight. I'll jot that down in my diary next to the negrep you left me.
