California Splitting Up?

If CA secedes the US federal government has as much a say in the land as a goat in Andorra does. Those lands will be owned by the new country. Trumpworld and its inhabitants want CA to leave...well, until we do...

At least we'd be leaving for freedom not to maintain slavery.

And in few months, you'd be really wanting some fruits and nuts...

Try to march across those deserts to get here. That should be easy to do. It's not like you'll be out in the open or that we wouldn't have drones to keep you away.

Looks like that would produce 2 very blue states and 1 slightly red state. Would be good for Pubs nationally because it's a 55 EV lost cause at the moment.
 
It could be bad for the Senate. The best case would be 4-2. It would most likely be 5-1.

But remember the State Legislature would have to approve it.
 
If we go to 52, no reason we can’t add DC and PR to make 54.
 
There wouldn't be a war..and we could hack the military and banks. :)

I think Mecklenburg County should be its own state. Getting two US Senators is just a bonus as the real goal is to get away from Greensboro.

Oh, there are plenty of reasons not to do that. Not having eight more Bernie Sanders in the U.S. Senate would be a good place to start. If your goal is to expedite the transformation of the United States into a Socialist Welfare State, though, such an event would be akin to finding the Holy Grail.
