I won't name the final game and roles will be hidden but those are the "inspirations" that I am thinking of.

You should base the whole game off that Jay Mohr movie Mafia!

I remember only one thing from that movie, and it is the Run, Florist, Run line.

kinda bummed I didn't play this because it looks like a v strong non-wallpaper game and I dig that
 
one of the first, maybe the first theme I ran 15 years ago was goodfellas or godfather, can't remember, and maf swept.
 
I want Goodfellas badly because the Karen role would be potentially the greatest mafia role of all time
