Interesting list. Lots of ACC representation at the bottom. Clawson checks in at 114. Leach at the bottom. Did not know that Paul Johnson and Cutcliffe never played in college.

He and Chris Mullin would be neck and neck for top of the list in playing career and bottom of the list in coaching career.

6. Tony Bennett

Redoing the list for 2016 and including all D-1 coaches drops out Hoiberg, but you'd add in Bobby Hurley, Mark Price, and Dan Marjerle (coaches Grand Canyon in the WAC).

He is a million years old, but Larry Brown has to be high on the list of NCAA hoop coaches based upon playing career.

Brown was a two year all-ACC at UNC.

Gold medalist on the 1964 US Olympic Team

All-ABA player for half dozen ABA teams

Retired as the all-time ABA assist leader.

Avery Johnson should be on the list too. 16 year NBA career, two NBA Championships.

CM would be right up there, getting a Final Four, 1984 amateur Olympic gold medal to go along with his Dream Team gold medal in 1992. And an NBA final as a reserve with the Pacers in 2000.
