Yesterday at the Wake Forest Open, Ben Lincoln broke his own school record with a throw of 234' 3".
If you don't know much about the javelin, this is an amazing throw.
Ben went to the NCAAs last year as a soph..........he's still got plenty of time for more records and national recognition.

Congrats Ben!

I don't know shit about the javelin, but that is 78 yards, which seems pretty impressive. Basically that means he could kill someone three-quarters of a football field away with a spear. Props.

Where on campus do they do the javelin? Not in Kentner with the turf field, I wouldn't think.

I have no clue what it's actually called, but I believe there's a range back in the woods behind P-world.

Impressive accomplishment.

Ben Lincoln

The javelin is thrown just above the Miller Center (at the start of the cross country trails). 234' 5" was first team All-America last year(have to hit the mark at the NCAA Championship meet), so he's developing into one
of the best javelin throwers in the country.

Those weight events (especially the javelin, discus, and hammer) are really technical and the javelin requires a ton of strength and flexibility.

Here's a link to Ben with a training throw in January.
