Just catching up. mako, you did the right thing. I know it's tough. I unloaded on your mom but that was a completely different situation.Just absolutely unloaded on my in laws for guilt tripping my wife about her work travel and telling her she needed to “stay home and raise her kids.” Apparently I had a lot of pent up rage concerning then that I was unaware of, but it felt nice to let it out. How are you gonna call someone on the most important business trip of her life and question her dedication as a mother? Like what kind of person thinks that is ok?
Like not even an Autograph collection?Freaking company is HQ in a town without a Marriott or Hilton property. WTF is that?!
Closest autograph one is 40miles across the border in LillesLike not even an Autograph collection?
This is what my parents are like, and I haven't spoken to them since November. So much this.
In laws are catholic and that ingrained guilt is strong. Every call with my wife is about the people in their life that are sick/dying/hard times. The guilt trips are incessant along with stuff like inviting themselves to visit. Ok. Inviting others to join them on their visit to us. Who's arriving tomorrow now?
When my wife blew up at them during the last visit mil said "you can just say no." In the midst of that chaos I laughed out loud at that. I think I followed up with "it's not that easy."
Townie is all good, just busy editing RJs novel FOR FREE?!
I definitely membered. That and the NCSU video were some of the earliest massively shared files from the networks.Wonder if that’s still on the interwebs. The early days of the net were wild. What a brief period of time that was.
Don’t think I knew about the ncsu one.I definitely membered. That and the NCSU video were some of the earliest massively shared files from the networks.
yup. and the iTunes feature where you could download any other user's library when they were on the same shared network as you. Were you guys a part of that craze at Wake where you could download an application on your StinkPad that basically gave you full access to any/all NES/SNES/N64 games? That was sweet.
I’ve spent an hour every day this week becoming familiar with the Drake-Kendrick Lamar battle (RIP J Cole) if anyone has any questions
he's not dead, thenJ Cole also isn't dead.
