Can't climb Everest in boat shoes, you don't climb Everest at all.

It was just that story of the two idiots from Texas that tried to jump a drawbridge in Louisiana and died. Darwin Awards.
Oh, and then I killed a man in Reno. Just to watch him die. But that's another story altogether.

In more uplifting news, this Nepalese climber summited 3 of the world's tallest 5 mountains, including Everest, in a 48 hour time span. That is absolutely nuts. He's trying for all 14 8,000 meter peaks in 7 months, and is at 6 so far, including Annapurna, which is probably the most dangerous mountain in the world.

Figure this is right time to mention that palmab03 does not think much when packing, and often has a history of forgetting a very important item. When first moving to los angeles, went down to Palms Springs to audit a golf course for work, and forgot my dress shoes. Ended up wearing my buddy's metal cleat golf shoes around in the clubhouse/office all week.
This raises so many questions. The first being, why didn't you just by a pair of shoes. But upon further reflection, what kind of asshole friend lends you his golf shoes to wear as opposed to more functional footwear?
who the fuck still has metal spikes
