Despite the vitriol that can sometimes consume this board, I honestly believe that in a bar with a beer in our hands we would probably get along and be much more similar than we might want to admit. With some trepidation I am going to post a link to an article about an academy that I am heavily involved in for at risk young men, and a poll that I would like you to vote in (3 questions....take you less time to vote than it does to read this post). 5 years into our experiment the school hangs dangerously close to the line financially, and while we are experiencing great success (55-60 students entering next year) we need the publicity that a 'win' like this would produce. It would mean a small grant ($15,000), but more importantly would mean a front page interview on a widely distributed Christian magazine.

If you do not want to participate I understand, but I do ask that you maybe read the article, and please refrain from any ridicule. This school and the young men who are in it and very important to me, and I would honestly rather not lose respect for anyone on this board with a truly ignorant comment.

Sounds like a great school, Wrangor, I imagine the work is incredibly rewarding. (There's just something about seeing kids graduate.)
 
In this race, there is a candidate worthy of my vote. Done.
