The future will be web based content delivery. Expect to see packages tailored for the individual viewers tastes, i.e. news/sports, entertainment etc. Look for Disney to do similar packages with other delivery systems, ATT, Verizon, Comcast, Direct TV etc. Verizon is also working on a totally wireless web based delivery system.

Netflix has been a game changer in how content is delivered with the customer in control of what/when they want to view. With Amazon, Verizon/Coinstar, Hulu etc. following suite, a la carte is coming and not a day too soon. I recently did a one year contract with ATT/Uverse bundled pkg. with internet. Took the 200 channel pkg. as it provided most of the sport networks...Out of 200 channels, only use 20 or so...
