Interesting.

Duke University reached a major milestone Monday when it announced final approval for Duke Kunshan University (DKU), the university in China that will confer Duke degrees. Duke, and its partner, Wuhan University, may now begin recruiting students.

“DKU will be a world-class center for teaching and learning, helping to develop a new model of global education,” said Duke University President Richard H. Brodhead in a statement announcing the approval from China’s Ministry of Education. “It will be a vibrant place of inquiry where Duke faculty and students can have a deeper level of engagement with China, a part of the world that is rapidly increasing in significance. We look forward to welcoming students from all corners of the world to the new campus in Kunshan.”

I assume it's pronounced "Dick You".

I also assume the demographics of both campuses will be identical.

It's good business and Wake should look towards becoming an international brand. There are a lot of markets out there where people will pay a ridiculous amount to get a degree from a top US school. Wake should leverage the success of the accounting program and open shop in east.

What Caturday said.

New Jersey, for one.

Shane Battier is all in favor of this move.
