Yes, Trump. And he embodies identity politics. Us v. Them. And we know who "them" are.

I do not know how you are defining identity politics, but on a whole, I generally support the goals of the Democratic party.
 
Yeah, if you're against "Identity politics" I don't see how supporting and extending the Trump Presidency helps your cause. You're literally trolling every demographic and rallying them against you.

Nearly all of Trump's political position are based in identity politics, white identity politics to be more specific.

I love this, in particular, because AOC did not go to an Ivy league school and Trump definitely did.

Nor has she ever inhabited any ivory tower. Trump, on the other hand, literally lives in a golden penthouse.

True, and there are some other moderates left in Congress. But the Democratic Presidential candidates who have announced are more left than the group you mentioned.
 
Why bother being moderate? The right is going to vilify you as a socialist regardless. See Hillary and Obama. Going left is energizing the Democrats in a similar way that the Tea Party going right energized Republicans. The difference is that the left has ideas (rightly or wrongly) for helping Americans while the Tea Party was looking for ways to hurt Americans to appease a small faction.

The idea that trump is an alternative to identity politics is basically white privilege defined. The “group” you don’t see is essentially white male dominant culture.

AOC represents rich suburban New York and upperclass Massholes. She’s about as From the Bronx as I am. Trump tailored his message for the rust belt. AOC Crafts her message for mellenials you have lived soft privileged lives that prefer spending 50 bucks on artisan cheeses than save for a mortgage payment.
 
For generations in the South, whites resented and feared "outside agitators" coming South to "stir up" blacks to protest for equal rights. I've seen videos made during the civil rights movement of Deep South whites complaining about Yankees coming down to "upset" blacks and getting them to vote or work for better treatment. The unspoken assumption was that blacks were happy living in the segregated South and being an oppressed minority, that they were unaware of how unfairly they were being treated until outside troublemakers told them, and that it was blacks and "outside agitators" who were stirring up trouble and division by working for equal rights, and not the dominant whites by oppressing blacks and other minorities. It definitely appears that many white Republicans still have this attitude - they're not the ones who are being tribal and divisive, it's the minorities who are stirring up trouble and pushing racial politics. If they would just shut up and stop protesting and pointing out incidents of racism and sexism and homophobia in America, everything would be fine.

So where is AOC from? Are you claiming that a REAL working class Puerto Rican woman from the Bronx would support Trump? What’s your point?
