Fidel Castro dead at 90

I never really got the love and respect that some of my lefty friends had for him or the extreme vitriol some on the right did. I get that Batista was a corrupt and abusive dictator. But so was Castro, and his many reforms were failure after failure, and Cuba had to be propped up financially by the Soviet Union till it no longer existed. Cuba's future is bright, though that may now be delayed by Trump for the next 4 years.

Several months ago a friend mentioned Castro, and my response was didn't he die a few years ago? I'd forgotten he was still alive. So had he in all likelihood.
