First Charges Filed in Mueller Investigation

It will probably be boring and lots of no answers. But Trump is likely to try to see if he can send Mueller to GITMO before then.

It was expected but the date wasn’t specified. Not sure why it needs to be so long from now.

I really hope Trump doesn't take us to war with Iran and really hope he stops abusing children, but him jailing Mueller would be fantastic.

Hannity has been saying that Mueller was too scared to testify because of having to take questions from Gaetz and Jim Jordan. Can’t wait to see them own the architect of the Presidential Harassment Hoax Witch Hunt!

Kinda crazy to think about with all the nut jobs out there willing to shoot up schools that no one has taken a shot at a President in 30 some odd years. Especially surprised Trump and Obama have made it 10 years, cause there's so much hate out there on those two. A Trump-ite taking out Mueller wouldn't be too surprising

I can't believe Dems in the House don't have the cajones to go after Jordan's covering up years of dozens of sexual assaults at Ohio State. It's outrageous that Jordan isn't in jail for being an accessory after the fact. But Dems are too scared to tell his story.

Sounds like several members of Mueller’s team are scheduled to testify as well.

Meanwhile members of Team Trump remain silent as they continue to stonewall congressional subpoenas.

Mueller’s team may think it is done. Democrats have other ideas.

Democrats struggling to find witnesses to guide their Trump probes say they’ve noticed the recent uptick in activity from ex-Mueller staffers — and they want in.

Democrats used to have a reputation as a party of fighters - people like "Give 'em Hell" Harry Truman, Hubert Humphrey "The Happy Warrior", and the Kennedys were certainly tough when they had to be, etc. In the 21st Century the Democrats really seem to have lost that fighting spirit for the most part, and it's one of the reasons why they're in the shape they're in. The response of House Democratic leaders to the Trump Administration's brazen refusal to allow witnesses to testify, to turn over requested documents and information, and so on, illustrates just how timid and gutless many Democrats have become. Voters admire pols who are willing to fight for what they believe in, and show some passion when fighting for their beliefs, even if they disagree. The Democrats haven't had a major politician like that for a long, long time. The fact that so many freshman Democrats like AOC and Omar have gained a reputation for being outspoken shows just how timid and bland the party's upper echelons have become, like Chuck Schumer (Sanders and Warren are exceptions, of course).

No one should expect much from Mueller's appearance other than hundreds of Trump tweets.

Schiff is an exception. Ted Lieu. There are a few others. But, overall, yeah, the very top is weak.

Good post by Highland.

It is astounding that Democrats have not used the GOP/Trump’s attempts to stifle oversight to their advantage. They should be running ads, giving interviews and hammering it into Americans heads that they are corrupt and obstructionist...hellbent on protecting their political power.

Not only is it the truth, it’s the right message.

Corrupt...obstructionist...unpatriotic.

The sad thing is Republicans have convinced 40% of Americans that Democrats are corrupt and obstructionist...hellbent on protecting their political power.

And another 20-30% is convinced both sides are corrupt and obstructionist...hellbent on protecting their political power.

Think of how many outspoken Pubs made names for themselves in the first two years of the Obama administration when the "worst" thing they were doing was trying to get affordable health care for millions more Americans.
