a quick mental run-through has me thinking the Deacs’ NFL guys have been pretty heavy at DB and OL relative to other positions since Y2K

And DL. Turner, Vilain, Boogie, Ejiofor, Whitlock, Thompson, Pace, Sharpe, Robbins. Kyle Wilbur played DE at Wake was an edge rusher at OLB in the league. There's a fair number of Deacs at LB as well. Masterson, Strnad, Lee, Arnoux, Curry, Tucker, and Kelvin Moses played a bit for the Jets.
