Ford to introduce new solar hybrid car

Sounds awesome. About time.
 
The obvious problem I see is you need to keep your car parked outside.
 
Consumer Electronic Show coming soon, look to get more info. Expect it may be several more years before production.

Depends on for how long. Plenty of folks park outside for work anyway. It's dark most of the time people use their garage. Cities could eventually reserve day outside parking for solar cars. Also, depends on how much energy the cars get while on the road. It obviously won't be 1:1 or even close, but the work charge + driving may be enough to cover the commute home.
