He passed away. He was 81. He had Alzheimers and hasnt been in public for a long time. He left quite a legacy in his music.

Created a Pandora station from "Rhinestone Cowboy" and enjoyed for a couple of hours this evening.
 
I met him in St Andrews, Scotland back in 2006. Literally bumped into him on the sidewalk. I was on a golf trip, and he was playing golf there as well in between shows. He was my guitar hero when I was a kid. he sat with us and shared a pizza. Super nice. And at that time, was a good player too. I think he said he shot 77 that day. He was really nice and I will never forget hanging out with him that evening.
