Are there any folks here who watched wrestling during the Golden Age ('50s and '60s)? Or know folks who did? What wrestlers and announcers do you remember?

The king of 60s wrestling was Bruno Sammartino.

Some of the other stars were Ivan Koloff, Pedro Morales, Argentina Apollo, Billy Graham, Lou Albano (before Cyndi Lauper made him more famous), Bobo Brazil.

Buddy "The Nature Boy" Rogers. Lou Thesz. Killer Kowalski. Gene Kiniski. Edouard Carpentier. Antonino Rocca. Mid 50's to early 60's in Chicago. Ric Flair borrowed liberally from Rogers, including the nickname. Kowalski was an absolute lunatic heel. Kiniski was a step behind Kowalski, more arrogant than lunatic. Carpentier and Rocca were baby faces. Rogers switched roles frequently and convincingly. Thesz was above the fray as "the best". Watched all of the wrestlers RJK mentioned in the 60's in NYC.

Been learning about him recently. I know he was an Antonino Rocca protege and was a high flyer. He also went by Vittorio Apollo.

Do the Fabulous Kangaroos, Tolos Brothers, Bastien Brothers, Chief Big Heart, Karl Von Hess, Ricki Starr, Cowboy Bob Ellis and the announcer Ray Morgan ring a bell?

Chief Big Heart and Karl Von Hess definitely. Kangaroos and Cowboy Bob Ellis are familiar. Try this on for size. Gorgeous George. I couldn't recall his name until later, but the act was unforgettable.

George was quite the influence, from to Rogers to Flair to the tandem of Handsome Johnny Barend/Magnificent Maurice.
