For the Basic Internet, what happens after the free first 7 years?

No more internet unless you want to pay for Gigabit service from what I remember reading.

Surprising that the airport isn't covered, but that may be related to the fiber optic cabling already there.

North State Telecom is building out a fiber network in GSO. It's not on my street yet but apparently coming soon. I have Uverse now which is all right, better than TWC for price and customer service but a little slow on the internet. Be interesting to see what North State is willing to offer to sign me up.

Not saying that North State = GOOGLE but obviously fiber is better than not-fiber and anything that brings competition to the jerks at TWC is welcome.

That Basic internet package is pretty slow. Seeing as how the 150 HD channels + the gigabit internet is only $50 more than just the internet I might consider uncutting the cord... assuming superior customer service.
